Studio

MRS Studio is a structural engineering studio based in New York City.

We work with architects, artists, and institutions to help bring good ideas to life. We enjoy being part of the design process from the beginning, working closely with project teams to understand what they're trying to achieve and finding the best way to make it happen.

Michelle

Michelle Roelofs, PE is a structural engineer and is the founder of MRS Studio.

Before founding MRS Studio, Michelle spent 18 years at Arup working on architect-led projects ranging from museums and universities to public art installations and civic buildings. She worked closely with architects and institutions from early design through construction, developing structural solutions that supported each project's goals.

Michelle teaches mass timber design at The Cooper Union and has taught integrated design at several institutions including Columbia’s GSAPP and University of Pennsylvania.
